I want to express my sincere appreciation to Comerford Law Firm for the outstanding job they did handling my VA disability claim. Thanks to their hard work, dedication, and expertise, I was awarded a 100% VA disability rating. Mr. Comerford truly cares about veterans and works tirelessly on their behalf. Throughout the process, he was professional, committed, and determined to help me receive the benefits I earned through my service. Veterans often hear the words, "Thank you for your service." Today, I want to say, "Thank you for your service to veterans." I highly recommend Comerford Law Firm to any veteran needing experienced and dedicated legal representation.

There simply aren’t words that adequately articulate what Jim Comerford has meant to our family. Jim represented the single last chance that existed to provide my dad with something this country had entirely denied him for 56 years: basic respect, accountability, and the benefits he EARNED through his honorable service in Vietnam. By the time Jim became involved, my dad had reached the final appeal permitted by law. There was no next application, no additional administrative step, and no other door left to knock on. This was it. My dad entered the United States Army as a healthy 20-year-old young man. He served honorably during war, was directly exposed to Agent Orange, and returned home carrying injuries and illnesses that would follow him—and continue worsening—to this day. For more than five decades, he lived with those consequences while receiving no benefits whatsoever and not even basic acknowledgment of what had happened to him. Jim is clearly an exceptionally intelligent and articulate attorney. His command of the law during my dad’s hearing before the United States Board of Veterans’ Appeals was astonishing to witness. At one point, the Judge misstated a fact. Even I knew it was incorrect, but I certainly would not have dared say so. Jim did. Without hesitation, he respectfully corrected the Judge. It was one of the loudest moments of screeching silence I have ever witnessed, but Jim did not miss a beat. This was my dad’s final chance, and Jim would not allow it to be decided on an inaccurate fact. But what I will remember most for the rest of my life is the way Jim spoke to my dad. My dad now has substantial communication difficulties. The contrast between watching Jim command a United States appeals hearing—even correcting a Judge—and then hearing the gentle, patient, deeply respectful way he spoke with my dad was extraordinary. There was not the slightest trace of condescension or impatience. He listened to him. He respected him. He gave him the time and space to speak. He treated my dad not as a claim number or difficult file, but as an honorable man who had served his country, sacrificed deeply, and deserved to be heard. For perhaps the first time in my dad’s life, he felt truly seen. He felt that his service, his sacrifice, and everything he had carried for more than half a century actually counted and mattered. Jim understood this was about far more than benefits. Behind the case was a human being—a man who, at only 20 years old, permanently gave a part of himself to this country that he would never get back. And Jim fought for him. There is something profoundly painful about watching the elderly man who raised you finally receive benefits for losses that can never truly be restored. No financial award can return the healthy young man who left for war. It cannot erase decades of illness, trauma, or disability. But acknowledgment matters. Accountability matters. Finally being told, “You served honorably. You sacrificed. This happened to you. You EARNED this,” matters more than I could ever adequately explain. Jim Comerford finally made that happen for my dad. He didn’t just win a case. He corrected a 56-year injustice at the final possible moment and gave an extraordinarily honorable Vietnam veteran the recognition, respect, and dignity he DESERVES. Jim is an extraordinary attorney, a fierce advocate, and an exceptionally good person. There is no one I would trust more with the life, legacy, and final chance of someone I love.

After struggling to achieve what I thought was the appropriate rating from the VA on my own, and seeing fellow vets achieve success where I was failing with their attorney, I reached out to Jim Comerford. From the first conversation I knew I was in good hands. Knowledgeable, straight forward and certain that we could win (he will let you know if you can't). Give Jim a call and let him do his thing. Everything he said he would do and get, he did. Could not be happier with the outcome. Fair fee, good communication and results. Don't waste anymore of your time. Get some help and get in touch with Jim.

"I cannot thank Jim Comerford enough. I am a veteran who was struggling to get the disability rating I deserved. Jim stepped forward, took total control of my case, and didn’t back down. Because of his hard work and legal expertise, I was awarded 100% disability. He understands the system and he understands veterans. If you are a vet and you're tired of fighting the uphill battle alone, call Jim. He got the job done for me, and he’ll do it for you." Thank You Paul Wells
